We are looking to recruit a Membership Assistant to join the Membership Team and part of the APC sub-team. The Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) is the assessment process by which people apply to become Chartered Town Planners. You will be working closely with the Senior Membership Assessment Coordinator and with the implementation of the Institute’s membership growth and support strategy, as well as a commitment to digital transformation, it is an exciting time to join the RTPI.

In this role you will assist the Senior Membership Assessment Coordinator in processing APC assessment rounds, reviewing and processing submissions, assigning applications to assessors, reviewing assessor feedback to ensure it is appropriate and complies with RTPI standards before being sent out to candidates. You will also be working closely with the APC assessors before, during and after each assessment round.

You will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the annual APC assessor recruitment and training cycle. Helping to ensure the assessor pool are happy and confident to assess candidates’ submissions.

Membership Assistants also provide a high standard of customer care, responding to written and telephone enquiries, managing inboxes, giving advice on eligibility for all classes of membership. This includes providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the APC webinars.
