Membership Advisor (Maternity Cover)
Location: Leicester/Hybrid
Contract: Full time, Fixed Term (12 months)
Salary: £28,028 (Grade 4)
We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused Membership Advisor to join our busy team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave.
This is an exciting opportunity to support our members and ensure they receive an excellent service throughout their membership with the Association. With excellent communication and administration skills, you will bring proven experience in a similar membership role, demonstrating exceptional service and system skills including handle call enquiries and helping to maintain accurate data records.
This role is Leicester-based hybrid working with at least two days in our Leicester HQ office each week, and other days as required.

Membership Advisor
Reports to Membership Manager
Job purpose
To support and assist in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the membership department including updating the membership database, collection of subscriptions and liaising with members. The post-holder is subject to the policies of ASCL as determined by the Council of ASCL.
General duties
Support the membership manager and senior membership advisor with the day-to-day running of the membership department
To ensure that all members are eligible and in the correct grade of membership in
accordance with ASCL’s constitution and rules
Ensure that a high level of customer service is provided at all times
Comply with Data Protection Principles in accordance with the Data Protection Act (1998) Promote and present ASCL and ASCL PD Ltd in a positive image both within and outside the work environment
Undertake professional development and training as required Participate in performance review
Such other reasonable duties requested by the line manager commensurate with the post.
Specific duties
Ensure the membership CRM is updated with scheduled and unscheduled changes for the membership department, including payment schedules and finance relating to subscriptions
Ensure potential new members are processed efficiently within the CRM Process online applications and other changes taken through our website Produce documentation in relation to the new member application process
Advise on membership options and subscriptions by telephone, email, post and text Credit card payments, batch receipting of payments, refund issue and subscription reminders
Maintenance of the direct debit system in accordance with the guidelines of the scheme, including ADDACS, AUDDIS, ARUDD and submission of files to BACS
Prepare information and participate in the MAC Audit annually
Assist with the retrieval of information from the CRM for staff and Officers of ASCL Carry out general administration duties within the membership department.
