Main Purpose & Scope Of Job:
This role leads the acquisition marketing strategy, driving new member growth across membership and Portfolio. It balances performance marketing with brand‑led acquisition, overseeing digital channels, CRM, search, social and influencer activity to maximise impact across the funnel. The role is insight‑led, with a strong focus on reporting, optimisation and continuous improvement, and works closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver sustainable growth.
Duties & Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing:
Own the acquisition marketing strategy, with accountability for new member growth across membership and Portfolio.
Plan, forecast and optimise marketing spend across channels to maximise revenue contribution and efficiency.
Work closely with our digital agency to develop and execute paid media strategies, including but not limited to Paid Search and Paid Social.
Oversee the day to day management and delivery of acquisition campaigns, ensuring activity remains on track against agreed budgets and performance targets.
Lead our CRM strategy, including segmentation, insight, planning and the development of automations and flows, to drive non‑member engagement and revenue.
Work closely with our Social Media & Influencer Officer to oversee the development and implementation of the organic social media and influencer strategy, ensuring activity supports both brand and acquisition objectives.
Work closely with our digital agency and Digital Marketing Executive to grow organic traffic and conversions, optimising for the full search ecosystem, including AI Overviews, LLMs and emerging discovery platforms.
Partner with the Digital Experience team to improve conversion rates, analyse test results and make clear recommendations for future optimisation.
Reporting & Analysis:
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of acquisition activity, pulling out clear insights, key learnings and best practice.
Continuously analyse acquisition performance to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
Deliver regular, clear performance reporting (weekly and monthly), providing visibility of progress against targets and highlighting risks, opportunities and actions.
Continuously develop and improve reporting to deepen understanding of non‑member behaviour, turning data into practical, actionable insight.
Collaborate with the research team and external research partners to analyse market and customer insight, identifying growth opportunities and informing acquisition strategy.
Brand Activity:
Lead brand led acquisition activity, building brand awareness and salience among priority segments for both membership and Portfolio.
Plan and deliver activity that grows consideration and demand, supported by clear routes into performance and conversion activity.
Ensure brand objectives are embedded across acquisition channels, balancing short‑term performance with long‑term brand growth.
Work closely with the Brand and Content team to align messaging and creative with brand strategy.
Measure and evaluate brand impact using agreed brand metrics, including awareness, recall and consideration, using insight to continuously refine and improve approach.
Leadership:
Build strong, collaborative relationships with cross‑functional teams to support and enable shared objectives.
Manage and brief external agencies to ensure high quality delivery and strong performance.
Adopt a style of leadership that supports excellence and organisational success.
Create a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the Acquisition team.
Person Specification
Qualifications:
A marketing degree would be desirable but not essential
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to deliver high-quality work against defined objectives and deadlines
Strong listening and communication skills with the ability to collaborate and build positive relationships internally and externally
A great team player, capable of working closely with different people and organisations to achieve objectives
Self-motivated with the confidence and enthusiasm to take the initiative and get things done
Ability to prioritise workflow
Experience:
Previous product marketing experience desirable
Demonstrable experience with core marketing competencies and practices
Broad marketing experience across email, social, paid media
Experience of marketing automation desirable but not essential
