About the Role

As a Regional Manager, you will be involved in expanding our presence across the Super Region. This entails creating active communities like Local Hubs, offering local member assistance to boost retention and engagement, and ensuring top-notch customer service. You will oversee stakeholders’ relationships, members progression, budgets, CPD/events, and managing Member Services & Event Coordinators. Collaboration with the super region team is key.

Key Responsibilities will include:
• Encouraging and enabling the development of active and engaged members within the Super Region, developing a range of regional activities that support and respond to our priorities and local issues.
• Providing guidance to members/ prospective members on membership routes and a full range of products and services.
• Focusing on retaining members, progressing members, and playing an active role in any local campaigns such as the annual renewals campaign to support the achievement of membership targets.
• Taking accountability for the successful design and delivery of a structured programme of local, relevant events (to include networking, CPD, annual dinners and student challenges) across the Super Region with the intention of retaining and engaging members, stakeholders, students, non-members and the public.
• Successfully organise a range of Professional Review and membership workshops (some will be on customer premises) and contribute to the achievement of our membership targets.
• Coordinating sponsorship activities and requirements for all events, ensuring these are delivered where appropriate.
• Overseeing and delivering engaging content for all local members and non-members communication using all channels available, including monthly newsletters, Events newsletters, social media channels, CM magazine, web, email and phone
• Re-forecasting and reviewing monthly management and accounts in a timely manner and providing insightful commentary on any significant variances.
• Developing strong working relationships with current and future committee members (Local Hubs and Nevus) to support the effective running and development of the Region’s effective succession planning.
• Leading and helping with the development of Member Services and Event coordinators in line with our Values Framework, to support their individual development and the effective operation of the region.

About you

The ideal candidate will have/be:
• Previous experience within a similar role with excellent customer service skills and experience managing a program of events.
• An excellent all-round communicator with the ability to adjust their communication style to a wide range of audiences and levels of seniority, including volunteers.
• Strong negotiation skills with a passion for networking, building, and maintaining relationships.
• Excellent financial management skills: business planning, budgets, re-forecasting etc.
• Excellent IT skills: a proficient user of Microsoft Office software, internal systems, and social media with demonstrative experience in the management of data within a CRM system.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the region and work flexible hours to meet the organisation’s needs- a full UK driving licence is required.
• Experience in the construction and built environment sector or within a Professional body is desirable but not essential.
