We are an award-winning company providing association management and secretariat services to associations, federations and charities. Our services typically include membership, finance, meetings, events, communications, administration, governance and representation. Everything from strategy to sticking stamps on envelopes, whatever needs doing to support the membership of our clients.

We support a diverse range of clients in different sectors and we have plans for further growth. To help manage our expansion, we are looking for an experienced Senior Account Manager.

Key responsibilities

  • Acting as the main point of contact with the board of some of our clients
  • Managing member subscription renewals ensuring a high retention rate
  • Developing member engagement and member recruitment plans and monitoring their success
  • Planning and managing events from small meetings to conferences, awards dinners and exhibitions
  • Attending association meetings, preparing minutes and actions and then following those through to completion
  • Supporting the leaders of our clients (boards and councils) in their volunteer activities within their organisations
  • Using and managing member CRM databases ensuring data integrity, security, and analysing data for decision making
  • Planning communications to members and other stakeholders across different channels
  • Supporting, directing and developing members of the team in the execution of their duties so we meet client expectations efficiently and effectively
  • Reporting to clients on achievements and priorities, both verbally and in writing
  • Attending and contributing to senior leadership team meetings and the direction of the company



  • Leadership experience
  • Proven track record of a strong member or customer-focused approach
  • Confident in communicating with people at all levels and from different industries and backgrounds
  • Good experience at running projects and/or events including budgeting
  • Good written communication skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • Good analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent IT skills – must be fully conversant with all MS office programmes
  • Willing to travel within the UK (and occasionally stay overnight) to attend and manage events and meetings
  • A team player who values all colleagues as equals


  • Experience with a membership organisation
  • Experience with planning and handling social media
  • Familiarity with CRM systems
  • Familiarity with CMS systems and managing web content
  • Understanding of accounts – budgeting, P&L, cash forecasting
