Our client a prestigious members club in the heart of central London with a diverse and global membership of over 1,800 members is looking for a Membership Manager.

 

Their London Clubhouse provides a welcoming environment in the heart of Knightsbridge for members, guests, and reciprocal clubs with two restaurants, accommodation, private dining, and events for both members and the wider public.

 

The Membership Manager role will be to support the Club’s existing membership, assist in growing the membership base and raise the profile of the Club worldwide through events, and relationships with key stakeholders. The role provides variety and autonomy working in a small team environment

 

As the Membership Manager you will:

 

Report to the Chief Executive Officer and work closely with the sailing, finance, and house organisations to grow/support all aspects of the membership base

Provide an active link between members and the club

Support all aspects of the multi-year strategy and in particular the responsibilities assigned to the membership function

Understand and articulate the individual needs of the Club’s membership groups, recommend, develop and implement plans to, sustainably, grow key revenues categories

Maintain and develop relationships with partner organisations, reciprocal clubs, and corporate members

Utilise, or develop, your understanding of the market environment to identify membership trends and recommend plans to support the Club’s strategy

Articulate, document and develop compelling membership offers to existing and potential membership categories

Support Communication strategies to develop the profile of the globally

Work to develop on-site, virtual and remote events to engage, maintain and grow the membership

 

As the Membership Manager, you will have:

 

Ability to work as part of a small team with a can-do attitude.

Excellent communication skills (email, telephone, face to face) and proven interpersonal skills.

Creative mindset to help develop membership benefits and membership engagement activities.

An excellent understanding of CRM systems/databases and data analysis

High level of proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office programs

Have relevant business background demonstrating commercial awareness

 

Desirable attributes

 

Experience of using website content management systems (CMS) and email marketing systems.

Experience of producing and presenting business reports
