Basic Salary £35,000-£40,000 dependant on experience

Our client a membership body is currently looking for a Conference Producer.

The Role of Conference Producer

This role is for a conference producer with a minimum of three years’ experience who is comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a team.

Main Responsibilities

Using an initial brief generated internally as a starting point you will research, source and contact suitable potential speakers to create a programme which is current, meets the relevant association’s objectives and has a strong marketing appeal for audiences from between 200 – 4000 attendees.

You will conduct market research, monitor and analyse trends and competitor information in order to develop new themes and topics.

You will help drive the shape of an event and create draft programmes for sign off always with a focus on delivering quality events with top name speakers and highly relevant topics for the targeted audiences.

You will be the main point of contact for a speaker via phone and email throughout the life of an event, nurturing relationships with the upmost professionalism and managing all speaker care before, during and after an event, including the despatch of individual agreements and notifications, and the collation and creation of slide decks and online profiles.

Reporting weekly either in person or via conference call to the team you will ensure that all pre agreed timelines are met.

On the day you will be onsite managing the speakers and for our larger events, supervising a small team of helpers to assist you to deliver a seamless stream of three to four seminar theatres all operating simultaneously.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Min three years’ conference production experience

Demonstrable research ability

Curiosity and real interest in getting to know the subject matter

Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with all audiences.

Resilience and determination

Understanding of getting events to market

Good IT skills

Previous experience working in an events or membership organisation, or consultancy.

Methodical approach to work

Ability to work effectively under time pressure
