Our client a leading, reputable, and well-regarded Financial Services Membership Body is currently recruiting for a Senior Account Manager.

 

The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for retention and acquisition activities across the association’s current and potential membership base. Ensuring our members are connected, content and maximizing their interaction across the breadth of the association’s offerings.

 

Your role:

 

Lead and support meetings with current and prospective Member organisations to promote the association’s value proposition.

Support membership acquisition activities, including research and analysis of potential prospects.

Develop and update a heat map of members / member cohorts at risk and communicate risks and opportunities to relevant colleagues so remedial action can be taken.

In conjunction with the Director, Membership & Commercial Development devise, develop and communicate member value propositions.

Support the ongoing development of engagement reports, ensuring these are effectively communicated to relevant stakeholder and used to drive membership activity.

Understand our members and what is of interest to them, contributing to the ongoing relevance of the association value proposition to members in order to meet and serve their needs better.

Update all relevant information on central repositories including Microsoft Dynamics, Intranet and SharePoint.

Contribute to briefings and meetings by providing member insights and participating in these meeting, where required.

Liaise across teams, ensuring members are up to date and notified of interventions that support their engagement and retention of the association.

Work with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver, evaluate and build an action plan for the regular Member Survey

Promote the aims and objectives of the association and help secure the outcomes and deliverables set out in the Business Plan – working with members and colleagues to deliver the strategic objectives.

Work with teams across the association to ensure that the association is the preeminent trade association.

Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably be required by the association

 

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

 

Essential

 

A keen interest in business and financial services

Proven experience of account management and client retention and an understanding of generating new leads and business

Methodical and analytical skills coupled with a can-do approach.

Strong client facing and effective presentation skills and a confidence to pitch and present to a variety of audiences.

Strong ability to build and manage effective and positive relationships with representatives from association member companies and external stakeholders across a range of organisations.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to develop clear and concise messages with a range of stakeholders.

 

 

 

 

 

Experience of research using various tools including analogue, digital and in person to help retain and grow association membership

Mature and flexible attitude with the ability to be calm under pressure and deliver against targets.

Proactive approach and strong work ethic, including the ability to plan and work independently to achieve agreed objectives.

Ability to manage several complex work areas simultaneously and independently, with the ability to carry forward work on own initiative with only minimal guidance.

Excellent team working and interpersonal skills and a commitment to working proactively and collaboratively with colleagues and members to get results.

Willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing work demands.

Strong numerical and IT literacy. Experience of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and CRM or another cloud-based system.

High attention to detail and quality of work.
