An opportunity has arisen for a Head of Membership (Maternity Cover) within the External Affairs Directorate at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG). This is a key role responsible for leading and managing the Membership Team to deliver against the strategic plan. The role holder will develop and manage the annual business plan to deliver membership growth, engagement and retention ensuring that revenue targets are met.

Working closely with the Vice President (UK and Global Membership) you will support the development and delivery of the membership strategy and manage activities to implement and deliver it including recruitment and engagement activities, campaigns and projects. You will also oversee the transformation of membership operational processes leading the team to develop and implement effective and efficient ways of working ensuring applicants, members and enquirers receive an excellent and valued customer experience.

As a successful candidate, you will have extensive experience of strategic and operational planning and development of membership services and of customer relationship management (strategy and systems) and its application. You will have proven leadership and team building experience as well as a passion for motivating, managing and developing people. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including oral, written, presentation and listening skills and be able to gain the confidence of colleagues at all levels.
