Administrator – Development Team – Institute

You will be providing support for Development office:

Providing admin support to Development office including travel arrangements, venue bookings, and organisation of private events.

Database: entering accurate donation information on the Salesforce database; using Salesforce to generate thank-you letters; ensuring prompt and courteous acknowledgment of all communications with donors and potential donors. Knowledge of Salesforce is preferred.

Financial: reconciling development records with finance department and dealing with enquiries

Publications & Stationery: assisting with the creation and distribution of fundraising related material whether in print or digital including liaison with internal departments and external vendors

Office and Financial Administration: general office administration including responding to enquiries by post, phone and email

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Essential Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

·         Experience in an administrative or other relevant role

·         Good general education preferably with a 3-year degree or relevant prior experience

·         Good understanding of using a CRM database, preferably Salesforce

·         Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with high regard for grammar and accuracy

·         An ability to work under pressure, co‐operatively with other team members, in a small office that will become extremely busy with many projects in progress at the same time

·         Self-motivated, with outstanding interpersonal skills, strong organisational abilities and able to prioritise workload

IT literate, including Microsoft Office products especially Word, Excel and Outlook, databases, e-mail and the internet

Customer focus – is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers/partners
Drive for results – can be counted on to meet or exceed goals successfully
Can-do attitude
Managing and measuring work – takes responsibility for tasks and decisions
·         Functional/technical skills – has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment
