A leading membership body in the City is seeking to add to its highly successful Development team.  They seek an individual who loves to generate repeat and new business by developing and maintaining business relationships and creating and following through leads with existing and prospective organisations

You will have the opportunity to proactively promote products and servicesto employing organisations, educational institutions and prospective students / members.  You will working closely with Regional BDMs to grow their presence, impact and commercial revenues.

What will you be doing on a day to day basis?

Manage key client accounts through regular communication and interaction with senior directors/managers and/or key decision makers as necessary
Promote specific services through planned campaigns and targeted outreach to both existing subscribers/clients and new prospects
Develop business relationships with fallow, existing and new organisations within the strategic portfolio criteria, working in partnership with a BDM, to generate new business through research and contact
Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of their portfolio of commercial products and services from a business development perspective
Monitor, record and report business development activity, as and when required
Promote specific services through planned campaigns and targeted outreach to both existing subscribers/clients and new prospects

Respond to any enquiries from employers and proactively follow up all leads as appropriate
Represent them at conferences and various other networking events with external clients as required

Attend business development and employer events – occasional travel (including overnight stays) is required in this position
Proactively engage and contribute in team discussions/meetings/business planning as well as regular 1-2-1 meetings with the BDM
Undertake general day-to-day office administrative tasks and comply with financial regulations and office procedures
Proactively develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation to help ensure that business opportunities are followed through, services are improved and duplication of effort is avoided.
Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of Quality Assurance and Data Protection within CIPFA and participate in follow up actions.

A’ level or equivalent Essential
Educated to degree level or equivalent Desirable
